The final Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne show is nearly upon us, and now we’ve got a first look at the band courtesy of famed photographer Ross Halfin! The set of photos features everyone in Sabbath, Osbourne performing from what appears to be a throne, and of course group shots of all the musicians involved.
Halfin said of the shoot: “People gather in their masses… Billy Corgan said to me today ‘you must have shouted at everyone in that photo at one time or another’ it was fun to do this like a rock high school graduation photo.”
Black Sabbath‘s Back to the Beginning farewell concert is set for Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham – the English city where the band first formed in 1968. The event marks the first live performance in twenty years of the original lineup: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward
The show carries enormous heartfelt weight: Ozzy, aged 76 and battling advanced Parkinson’s disease, will perform only four songs before joining the band for a final group performance. The bill features an all‑star lineup of legendary acts including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, and way more plus curated supergroups featuring Slash, Billy Corgan, Jonathan Davis, Tom Morello, Sammy Hagar, Lzzy Hale, and more collaborating on both their own hits and Sabbath classics.
Actor Jason Momoa will host the event, and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) serves as musical director. The full show runs as follows, thanks to a set time list posted online by Disturbed frontman David Draiman:
