Mahindra is going to debut a new XEV 9S EV in India on November 27, 2025. It is going to be a 7-seater eSUV built on the INGLO Skateboard platform, which also underpins the XEV 9e and BE 6.
- It will be Mahindra’s first three-row EV in India.
- Likely to be the production-spec version of the XEV 7e.
Mahindra XEV 9S details
EV could be the production version of the electric XUV700 prototype
The XEV 9S will be a born-electric SUV, and, aside from being a 7-seater model built on its INGLO Skateboard platform, Mahindra has yet to reveal any other information about it.
However, this could be the production-spec version of the XUV700 Electric prototype (also called the XEV 7e), which has been spied testing many times.
If this is the case, it could mean the upcoming XEV 9S would borrow heavily from the prototype. Some of these elements could be the connected LED DRLs, blanked-off grille, and dual-pod LED headlights like the XEV 9e.
The interior could borrow the 3-screen setup of the XEV 9e and can also come with the same steering wheel, as suggested by some spy shots.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Battery pack and powertrain
Could come with a claimed 500km+ range
Powertrain details of the XEV 9S are still awaited, but going by Mahindra’s new-age EV standards, one can expect a big battery pack with a 500+ km claimed range. However, we can only comment on this once there’s some clarity from the carmaker.
