As with previous tie-ups, the collaboration means shoppers can browse used vehicles from the comfort of their home. If they find something they like, customers can buy the vehicle online and then schedule a time to pick it up. Users will be shown vehicles within a 75-mile radius and they can see itemized pricing as well as apply for financing online.

While buying a vehicle sight unseen isn’t ideal, Ford said all models have passed a multi-point inspection and come with roadside assistance. More importantly, there’s a 14-day/1,000-mile money-back guarantee.
There are also three levels of certification. Gold Certified is for Ford vehicles up to six years old that have less than 80,000 miles on the odometer. They undergo a 172-point inspection and come with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty.

EV Certified is similar to Gold, but for electric vehicles. They have the same warranty and are subjected to a “specialized 127-point inspection.”
Last but not least, there’s Blue Certified. This covers vehicles from Ford and other automakers that are up to ten years old and have fewer than 150,000 miles. These pass a 139-point inspection and come with a 90-day/4,000-mile warranty.
It remains to be seen if consumers will embrace buying Fords on Amazon Autos, but dealers seem to be loving the idea. The Blue Oval said approximately 20 have already signed up, while another 160-180 have expressed interest in doing so.
