This 1960 Pontiac Bonneville Sports Coupe was purchased out of California by the seller’s late father around 2000. The car is powered by a 389ci V8 topped by a trio of two-barrel carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in white over multi-tone blue vinyl upholstery, the vehicle features a dual exhaust system, Kelsey-Hayes eight-lug 14″ wheels, whitewall tires, a tachometer, a push-button AM radio, and bench seating. This Bonneville is now offered by the seller on behalf of his father’s estate with a clean Maryland title.
The car was finished from the factory in Shelltone Ivory (CC) and has been repainted, according to the seller. Exterior details include quad headlights and taillights as well as a horizontal grille, a driver-side mirror, body-side moldings, and chrome bumpers. Rust is noted in the rocker panels and the floors. Bubbling and chipped paint and other imperfections are pictured in the gallery below.
Kelsey-Hayes eight-lug 14″ wheels are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums.
The bench seating surfaces are upholstered in three-tone blue vinyl. Interior equipment includes a push-button AM radio, stainless trim, quarter vent windows, dome lights, and carpeting. A tear on the driver seat and other wear is shown in the gallery.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontal 120-mph speedometer along with a clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 88k miles; the seller states that the odometer reading is not accurate, and true mileage is unknown.
The 389ci V8 features a Tri-Power induction setup with three two-barrel carburetors. The engine was rebuilt around 2002 and bored .030″ over, the seller tells us.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system.
