This 1972 Buick GS convertible is one of a reported 126 examples produced for the model year and is powered by a 455ci V8 that is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Refurbished under prior ownership, the car is finished in blue with a white soft top over a white interior. Features include through-the-bumper exhaust tips, hood scoops, 15″ Rallye wheels, power steering, and an AM/FM radio. Acquired by the current owner in 2024, this GS is now offered on dealer consignment with a clean Texas title.
Finished from the factory in Burnished Copper, the car was painted in its current shade of blue and fitted with a replacement white soft top at some point under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a rear chrome bumper with through-the-bumper exhaust tips as well as quad headlights, hood scoops, and Gran Sport badging. There is a scratch on the right rear of the car.
The 15″ Rallye wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle ST tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The bench seats are upholstered in white vinyl, and the front bench has a folding center armrest. Interior appointments include woodgrain dashboard trim, wind-up windows, and an AM/FM radio.
The three-spoke Rallye steering wheel fronts an instrument cluster housing a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 53k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.
The 455ci V8 was fitted with a four-barrel carburetor from the factory and sends power to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the engine and transmission were rebuilt at some point under prior ownership.
